An Interview with Stephen Graham King

I had the wonderful opportunity to interview the fabulous Stephen Graham King about his work, exploring his latest work The Infinite Heist: Book 5 of the Maverick Heart Cycle. We explore Queerness, Disability, geekery and writing groups.



Stephen Graham King (He/They) is a disabled survivor of metastatic synovial sarcoma, a story chronicled in the memoir, Just Breathe: My Journey Through Cancer and Back. Stephen is also the author of the stand-alone novel, Chasing Cold, as well as the four books in the Maverick Heart Cycle: Soul’s Blood, Gatecrasher, A Congress of Ships, Ghost Light Burn, and the forthcoming The Infinite Heist. He has been a frequent guest on podcasts and panels, passionately advocating for lived experience queer and disability narratives in stories of the future. They are also an avid black and white photographer, known for their intimate and immediate photos captured on the streets of Toronto, where they currently reside.
