“Everyone wants to be the hero of their own story, but there’s not enough room for them all, so they fester from bitter self-righteousness.”

  1. Lynda Williams says:

So what is the answer? Avoid being bitter at all costs, maybe, because it is simply counter productive?

  2. That’s funny. I haven’t heard that one before, but from “Nim’s Island” I’ve learnt to be “the hero in my own story”. And that is what everyone should do. Chen is wrong. Things only fester when you allow others to be the hero in your story.
